I took these photographs today. They are of Aberfan Cemetery, the children's Graves and the Garden Of Remembrance. The last photograph is the view now, of where the tips and school were. The big yellow building in the centre of the photograph is the Aberfan & Merthyr Vale Community Centre and it is built on the actual site where Pantglas School stood. It always brings tears to my eyes when I go up there and today was no exception. The memorials have been restored this year and inscriptions added. It struck me today how many of the parents are buried beside their beloved children now. Many of the parents passed away in their 40's, 50's and 60's. Medically it would be argued but I don't doubt from broken hearts.
